Roberts Renaissance February 26, 2005 This year's 2005 Catalog of Items for Bidding and February 1, 2005 Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff: Our auction donors include the people and businesses on this list. Please thank them and visit their business or website. Winter holidays are now just sweet memories, and we are working in earnest to prepare for the upcoming auction scheduled for February 26. This event raises more than 50% of the funds that the PTO gives the school, so it is critical that it be a success. See our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more about how the auction works.
We are looking for parents to contribute to the Auction. The most popular items sold at the Auction are the student-created classroom projects, but the second most popular items are the events, services, and crafts created by YOU. What sort of things can you donate? Classic items like books, sports memorabilia, tickets, jewelry, clothes, trips, and crafts are always welcome, but some other creative ideas are:
·
“Socialables” are parties hosted by groups of Roberts parents/teachers/staff in their homes for other Roberts families/friends. Not comfortable hosting a party? Get together with others and prepare the food/entertainment, and we will find someone to host the party.
·
Special Events for kids: Can you take a group bowling? How about leading a challenging Scavenger Hunt? How about Kite Flying in Galveston? Find a fun activity you would like to share and make it an event for others to bid on!
·
Do you have an unusual skill, craft, or knowledge you would like to share with others? Parents and kids both LOVE to learn a new skill like knitting, origami, or Art History. Put together a class on something interesting you know well, and be surprised at how popular it is! · Do you have an unusual job, or work in an unusual location? Parents love to have their kids led on tours of places where interesting things are happening, like a hospital, research center, or factory. Get permission from the Boss, then open childrens’ minds! We look forward to your creative donations! Thank you for your support of Roberts Elementary! If you have questions, please contact: Grace Pierce (713-942-7121), Robin Lanier (713-662-3435), Roxanne van Ravenswaay (713-721-4332), or Malcolm or Ann Ross (713-660-0231).
If you can make a donation, please print and fill out either the donation form in web (HTML) format , or the donation form in PDF format *NOTE: Physical items (books, jewelry, crafts, etc) can be left at the office for collection by Auction Team. Roberts Elementary School PTO Auction 2005
