WHAT IS THE AUCTION?
The auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We raise over 50% of our
budget in just that one night. We will have food donated by The Black
Walnut ( Morningside) and Debra Balthazar and other Roberts parents will
donate desserts. We will also have cash bar. This year’s theme is Roberts
Masquerade Ball and there will be many things to bid on in the Silent
Auction from area businesses, school perks (i.e. Principal for the day, an
outing with your favorite teacher), and Parties for adults and children. You
can also host a party for children or adults. The Live Auction will include a
house in France for a week, Galveston Getaways, and other exciting items.
If you have any items (i.e. tickets to sports events, jewelry, home décor or
gift certificates, or a weekend home) and would like them to be included in
the auction please contact Carleta Sandeen carletas@aol.com If you have
connections with area merchants, hotels, or corporate sponsors please
contact Carleta.
HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?
Invitations will be sent home in the Tuesday folder soon. Fill out the RSVP
card and attach payment. You will receive a catalog the week of the auction.
Your name will be put on a list that will be at the sign-in table at the
Hornberger Conference Center. No tickets to worry about keeping until
that night.
WILL CHILD CARE BE AVAILABLE?
The Gymnast Factory ( Albans) will provide a fun filled night and dinner for
the children. . . Roberts students and their siblings only. They will accept
siblings who are four years old and older. PRE REGISTRATION ONLY, NO
WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Forms will be sent home via the Tuesday
folder and in the front office. LIMITED TO THE FIRST 100 CHILDREN.
WHAT IF I CANNOT ATTEND BUT WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE?
The auction committee will be happy to accept your monetary contribution or
any new items or service you would like to contribute. We want everyone to
be apart of the event!
IAM INTERESTED IN HOSTING A PARTY FOR THE AUCTION, HOW
DO I DO IT?
First decide what party you would like to host, a children’s party or an adult
party. Children’s party ideas: Swim, bowling, Yugio, etc. Adult party ideas:
progressive dinner, girls weekend out of town, dad’s bowling, poker night,
etc. We will be able to help you find people to host with you and work out
