Sports and Games from Around the World

The festival was a smashing success. The weather was wonderful and all the participating cultures shone. Take a look at this brief slide show of some of the outdoor stage performers. International Festival T-shirts !! It's not too late to get one of these sensational t-shirts, celebrating sports and games from around the world!
There are 3 ways to purchase this week:
- At the Festival on Friday afternoon - we'll be selling t-shirts at a table in the front hall for $10.
- After school each day this week - check for a table in the south hallway until 3:30 p.m. $10 gets you a shirt!
- Pick up an order form from the rack in the front office, fill it out, and pay $10. We'll deliver it to your classroom.

Recipes using ingredients from the garden will be served throughout the festival.

Other groups throughout the afternoon include music and dance from Bangladesh, the Palestinian dancers, the Palmer Children's choir, the Johnston Mariachi Band and teh Shaolin Martial Arts performance group.
Mission Statement
The International Festival is a time for the families of Roberts Elementary
to come together, in the absence of political or religious agendas,
to celebrate the diverse cultural and geographic backgrounds of the
students.
It is a family festival where people have the opportunity to meet and
to
educate each other on their own culture and/or country.
It is a time when new families will be welcomed to join the Roberts
Elementary
community.
Every family will be given the right to represent his or her culture
and/or country.
Every family will be respectful, tolerant and supportive of other cultures
and/or
countries.
